John Moore volunteered from the East Suffolk Militia on the 9th April 1809 receiving a bounty of £7/7/-
Description:- a 36 year old labourer from Cockfield, Suffolk; 5’7; dark complexion; long visage; hazel eyes; brown hair.
Travelled with the Battalion to the Scheldt in August 1809, where he contracted the ‘Walcheren Fever’ and died on board ship 18th October 1809
