Lee, Thomas

25th November 1806 the 8th Garrison Battalion was established

Thomas Lee enlisted from 8th Garrison Battalion at Dublin on 25th June 1808 and was immediately promoted sergeant, receiving a Bounty of £10/10/-

Description:- A 21 year old weaver from Rusholme, Lancashire; 5’8; brown complexion; oval visage; hazel eyes; brown hair.

By the 8th August 1808 he had been promoted Sergeant-Major.

He served in the rank through the Campaign to the Scheldt , receiving Prize money of £6/8/9

Ireland and to the Peninsula campaign

Wounded at Nive he spent 16 days in General Hospital before dying from his wounds 29th December 1813
