George Henry Danks, a 24 year old from Herefordshire enlisted 15th April 1811 at Sheffield.

Described:- 5’6; fair complexion, grey eyes, brown hair.

Served with the Battalion in the Peninsula and promoted Corporal 25th November 1813.

Deserted 24th June 1815

Re-joined 19th February 1816 and promoted Sergeant by authority Commander-in-Chief

Retained on reduction of the Battalion
